Date Idea #1: Play pétanque in the middle of Sloane Square
If there’s one thing we can thank France for, it’s inventing pétanque.
Why? Well, for a start, because it’s the most laidback and chill sport ever.
I mean…try playing soccer while drinking pastis and talking to a cute girl at the same time: It’s going to be a mess.
But not with pétanque. Pétanque leaves room for great conversations with your date, which is ideal if you want to get to know her better on a first date.
And it’s a sport everyone can play (provided you have two arms).
So, take your date to Court on The Square, a new summer pop-up bar in Sloane Square.
Rent some boules, get a few drinks, and play some pétanque to while away the hours with her.
Make it extra dynamic by combining pétanque-playing with street-wandering or bar-hopping.
Date Idea #2: The best tropical destination…in London
Did you know that plants make you a more relaxed and happier person? Well, at least that’s what science says.
Try the experiment yourself: Take your dream girl to this stunning oasis at the botanic garden in the Barbican Conservatory, and see how comfortable she looks.
The Barbican Conservatory is only open on Sundays and bank holidays.
What’s great about this place is that it leaves room for spontaneity.
Tired of wandering around and looking at tropical plants? There’s a really chill bar you can take her to.
Tired of drinking? Get some food in the restaurant.
Tired of eating? Bloody hell, you’re a tough one.
Read the next tip; it’ll give you the inspiration you need.
Date Idea #3: If you can laugh together, you can…
…have sex together.
I know, that’s not what the real quote says.
But I thought I’d spiced it up a bit, since research has shown that couples who laugh together have better sex lives.
And what’s a better way to laugh than going to an intimate stand-up comedy show?
That’s what you get when you take your date to The Comedy Store.
They host stand-up nights every single night of the week, with some of the city’s most hilarious live comedy acts.
Pro tip:
Now, if you want to make it a memorable date, here’s a golden rule:
Keep it moving.
Why?
Motion creates emotion, mate.
That’s why you should take her to several places.
Watch a short act and move on to the next date activity you planned, like the one in the next tip for example…
Date Idea #4: The ultimate solution to test out her team spirit
Is your date a fan of bowling?
Just kidding. Of course, she is.
Everybody loves chucking a heavy ball into a bunch of pins and sending them flying around.
Especially when you get to do it in another decade.
That’s what retro venue All Star Lanes is all about: leather booths, glossy lanes and old school lighting.
Just put on some Elvis Presley and…BOOM! You’re in the US of A. In the 50s.
So why not taking your date to play some vintage bowling?
You can play together or against each other, giving you the opportunity to test out her team spirit or competitiveness.
Well, you can always play with bumpers like kids do, but you’re not going to win any masculinity points for that.
Date Idea #5: Tourist in your own city
Let me make a guess about your date:
There’s not a single guy in her life who has taken her on a date to The Monument.
I’m 99.69% positive about this.
Well, guess what?
You’re going to be her first.
What’s great about this date idea is that it involves sweating (more on that later).
You’ll have to climb 311 steps together to the top of this three-centuries-old historic building.
What’s waiting for you upstairs, though, are two great rewards:
- A certificate as proof of your athletic abilities delivered by the staff as recognition of your achievement
The second point is crucial.
Winning this certificate together is going to create complicity, allowing you to connect with your date on a deeper level.
Date Idea #6: Keith Haring would be proud
Now here comes a date idea for all the artsy people out there.
Not your case? No worries, even if your last piece of art was a macaroni necklace you made when you were five, you’re going to like this date idea.
You might not know it, but London’s street art scene is one of the most vibrant and dynamic in Europe.
So, take your date on a street art walk in London.
It’s a great way to show her what a man of refined taste you are.
East London has amazing spots with huge walls covered in art by some of the city’s best street artists.
Now, how do you take it to the next level?
Read about it beforehand to impress her with your creative knowledge!
Of course, it’s not about learning everything you can about it either. You don’t want to come across as a tryhard.
But if you throw some random facts at her, not only is she going to be impressed, but it’ll also be an attractiveness-booster, since creativity is very sexy.
Date Idea #7: Have fun storming the castle
What’s more romantic than wandering around a 13th century castle with your dream girl?
That’s what you get at Hever Castle.
Take her by the hand, and pretend you’re the king and she’s your queen.
It’s a 90mn drive from London, but the beautiful surroundings are 100% worth it.
And there’s a water maze. That’s pretty cool.
You have two options:
- Go there for a casual romantic walk: This one is perfect if you have a girlfriend and you want to surprise her.
- Go there on a festival day: If you have a date planned and you want to set a dynamic vibe right from the beginning, this is your best option.
(Yeah, they also hold festivals there.)
Your girl is a party animal? Great, then surprise her by getting two festival tickets and party hard with her.
I love partying with a girl: you have fun, get a bit tipsy, meet people, dance like crazy, then come back home to do some bow-chick-a-wow-wow and pass out on top of each other in bed.
What a night…
Bonus tip: Slick conversations
We’ve all been there:
You meet up with a girl for a date, sit in a bar, start having the same boring conversation about work and studies when, suddenly, you’ve got nothing to say anymore.
And here comes the incredibly awkward silence.
You take a sip of your drink, hoping a meteor crashes into Earth to put an end to this awful awkwardness.
No worries; that’s never going to happen to you again.
Get some conversation tricks to keep a conversation going with any girl (at any time)!
That’s all in my free Transformation Kit.
Date Idea #8: Get your swing on plane!
Remember, if you want to stand out from most men, don’t just take your date to get a drink. That’s boring.
Be unusual. Be creative. Play golf. In a bar.
What am I talking about?
It’s called Swinger, mate. It’s a bar where, well, you can play golf.
Fancy cocktails, beautiful venue, street food, DJs, mini-golf…what else do you need for an epic date, really?
(And, yes, you can play golf and not be a billionaire CEO.)
Chances are you’ve never played golf, though.
No worries: Neither had I. The first time I took a girl there on a date, my golf skills sucked big time…
…which is weird, because I’m usually good at getting things inside holes.
(I’ll leave that to your imagination.)
So why should you go on a date and play a sport you’re not good at?
Because it’s a great way to show her you don’t take yourself seriously.
You suck at playing golf. Alright. But, you’re so chill about it that’s it’s making her laugh.
She’ll think:
Date Idea #9: Visit some cute animals at Vauxhall City Farm
Here’s a fact: Women love cute animals.
Which is why you should buy and bring a puppy to your next date.
…
Just kidding. There’s an easier way to involve animals in a date:
Take your date to visit a farm.
There are many farms you can go to, each of them offering some much-needed fresh rural air to escape London’s hectic pace of city life.
You can wander around baby pigs, rabbits, sheep, ducks and even alpacas.
Prepare yourself for a lot of ‘Awwwww!!!’
No worries, the attention will shift back to you afterwards.
Date Idea #10: Picnic in Hampstead Heath park
Ever been on a date in Hampstead Heath park?
Picture it:
You and her, a bottle of wine and an idyllic view of the city.
If you want to add some sexual tension to the date, then Hampstead Heath park’s intimate setting is ideal.
Now, I see you coming:
No worries, mate, there’s a twist:
Plan the date with her as if it is going to be a casual walk in the park.
But! Get there beforehand and carefully hide a bag with a bottle of wine, a blanket, some food and a speaker.
Meet her at the entrance, start walking innocently towards the direction of the hiding place and, when you’re close enough, smile and say:
Take out the bag full of surprises, start laying out your picnic spot and pay attention to her reaction.
If that’s not a question she asks you over 15 times, then maybe you should brush up on your acting skills 😉
Date Idea #11: Women love flowers, but…
… there’s something they love even more: Flower market.
Well, it’s your lucky day, because London’s Columbia Road Flower Market is out of this world.
It’s open-air, it’s free and the atmosphere is vibrant.
Orchids, roses, tulips, and people too…so many smells, so many colors! And look, here’s a band playing live on the street!
Take your date to this lively place, and watch the sensory overload happen.
How is that a good thing, you say?
Well, research shows that senses play an essential role in the creation of emotions. And emotions, my friend, are the secret to a successful date.
Once you’re done visiting the market, explore the small streets near Columbia Road. There are a lot of shops and spots to grab coffee.
Hidden gem alert!
Jones’ Dairy’s cakes are incredibly good.
Date Idea #12: “Life is like riding a bicycle…
… In order to keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
Albert Einstein said that.
So, rent two bicycles, and show her a side of London she didn’t even know existed.
There are tons of cycle routes online, so don’t forget to plan the trip beforehand and have a map to avoid getting lost.
Are you sure?
Because science has shown that male sweat makes women horny.
Pro tip:
The final destination can be your house 😉
Date Idea #13: Best first date spot!
Suppose you got a Tinder date with a cute girl.
You want to do things right, so you try to come up with an exciting date idea in London.
But, you don’t want to come across as a tryhard either.
The thing is, there’s a fine line between impressing a girl and being creepy.
For example, you’re not going to wait in front of your date’s house in Cinderella’s carriage with a bunch of roses in your hands.
(Unless you want to scare the sh*t out of her. In this case, yeah, go ahead.)
So, here’s the best exciting-but-chill date idea for you: For a day-time date, go to the open-air Borough Market.
It’s lively but not jam-packed, cool but not hipster, low investment but not couldn’t-care-less.
There’s street food from all over the world, so just pick a country and share your best travel stories with her.
Date Idea #14: Get high with your date
No, I don’t mean actually getting high. Sorry to all you stoners out there.
I’m talking about Sky Garden, one of the highest bars in London.
How many floors? 43, sir.
So, the elevator will have you and your date rise to the top while the sexual tension will do exactly the same.
Pro tip:
This long elevator ride is a great way to add some sexual tension to the date before it’s even started.
Then taking her home becomes a piece of cake.
More on that here:
Once you’re at the top, your date won’t be able to resist the fantastic panoramic view over London, with amazing cocktails as a bonus.
Oh, and remember tip #2 about how plants affect you positively?
Well, there’s a lush urban jungle there as well.
So, you can wander around the plants between two cocktails to add motion to the date.
Date Idea #15: Time travel to the 20s
Ever heard of the speakeasy bar Nightjar?
It’s a subterranean bar hidden in a secluded basement, where they play live jazz music every single day of the week.
Last time I went there with a girl, we literally felt like we were in another decade.
This, combined with the bar’s unusual and cozy atmosphere, helped build a strong connection with her.
(No need to tell you where we ended up spending the night.)
So, travel back in time with your date to this intimate place.
As you descend the stairs, the lights will start to dim and the world above will slowly slip away.
Then, grab some cocktails while listening to fancy jazz music, and watch how you naturally connect with your date.
Now, you might need more information on how to make a connection with a woman.

Date Idea #16: Ping? Pong.
I love ping pong.
Why? Because just like bowling, it’s a game pretty much everyone can play and have fun with.
And when going on a date, having fun is what you’re looking for.
So, take your date to Bounce, one of the best first date bars in London.
It has it all: pizzas, drinks, upbeat vibe and, of course, table tennis. The perfect mix.
This is ideal if you want to set a dynamic tone for a first or second date.
Go there, and test out your date’s ping pong skills.
And don’t start crying if she’s better than you.
Date Idea #17: Night under the stars
Pay attention: If you’re in a relationship, this tip is for you.
Do you want to make your girlfriend happier than ever?
Then, there is nothing better than a romantic night under the stars.
The Royal Observatory is a perfect place for this.
Surprise your señorita by planning a date there.
Then, lie down, watch the stars and unravel the mysteries of time and space together.
Date Idea #18: Get your aiming skills ready
Pétanque ✔
Bowling ✔
Ping pong ✔
What’s next? Darts, of course.
Take your date to Flight Club, a darts bar in London.
Flight Club isn’t your typical darts bar, though.
No. These guys take darts very seriously:
There are precision cameras and big TV screens sitting above each board to analyze each dart thrown with incredible accuracy.
This means that you don’t need a pen and paper to keep score and track whose turn it is: the computer does it for you. (Thank you, technology!)
So, you can focus on impressing your date with your killer aim.
Just don’t tell her it’s because you played too much Call of Duty.
Date Idea #19: Get back to primitive basics
Yeah? Well, what about throwing an axe at a target?
Yes, Axe Throwing is a thing, apparently.
If you’re looking for an adrenaline-filled, pulse-pounding date idea, this is the one.
Take your date to Whistle Punks, the best axe throwing place in London.
You’ll both throw axes like savages and get in touch with your inner beasts.
The next step is taking that wild energy back to the bedroom ;).

Date Idea #20: The strategic date
London is a huge place, and if you’ve ever partied on the other side of the city, chances are you’ve been in this situation before:
You meet a girl in a bar, flirt with her for a bit, finally kiss her and, after making out with her for thirty minutes, you say:
To which she answers:
So, you come back home, a bit tipsy and…all alone.
Ouch.
Well, I’ve got good news for you: This won’t happen to you ever again.
Because I found the perfect place for you: La Distillerie.
This is a huge gin bar with more than 100 different gins and…guest rooms.
So, you can have a few drinks before taking your date to bed (only a few seconds away this time!)
Date Idea #21: Yes, you can combine nautical activities and romantic adventures…
… It’s easy: Rent a boat in Regents Park, and treat her to some intimate time on the water, among cute little ducks.
Original and romantic.
Pro tip:
If you’re like me, chances are you’ll be tempted to splash some cold water in her face and laugh like a five-year-old kid.
I don’t recommend that.
Most girls spend a lot of time putting on makeup and taking care of their hair. Some take it… very seriously.
So, resist the temptation, and don’t ruin her hard work.
Believe me, I speak from personal experience.
Date Idea #22: How to surprise your girlfriend
London’s fast-paced lifestyle can be overwhelming.
Which is why your girlfriend will love the idea of spending a couple of hours away from the chaos.
So, leave the city and take her for a Spa day at Banya No. 1.
What’s a better way to spend the day than being pampered under intense heat?
As the daily issues slowly start to leave her body, you’ll notice how much more relaxed she looks.
When you come back home feeling recharged and reconnected, cook her a delicious dinner and see how her eyes turn into little hearts.

Ever heard of Sofar Sounds?
They hold intimate gigs in unique locations across London…some of them in somebody’s living room.
So, start the date in someone’s home…and end it in yours. It doesn’t get much more intimate than that.
Performers and locations are kept secret until a few days before the event…
